If you've been keeping up with the lesson plan tab, you know we've been doing a lot in the art room! I am so excited for next weeks plans. Next Monday Mrs. Stults and I will be combined with all the other special area teachers to welcome a guest speaker to our school. Firebear will be coming to SES to teach our students more about the Native American culture. We've been working very hard on our Native American artwork. Fifth grade will be using their rattles with Firebear this Monday when he teaches us some Native American dances. Below I've posted a short description of our Red Ribbon Week artwork. I've also attached a link where students may take a pledge to be a School Safety Hero! Be sure to check it out and sign the online pledge. Week 8: September 29, 2015 Guest Speaker: Firebear September 29th - October 2nd, 2015
Click here to take the School Safety Hero pledge! I cannot believe tomorrow is the first day of school! I am so excited to see all those smiling faces walking in the door early tomorrow! Be sure to get a good nights rest and come to school prepared. Our art room is up and rolling. The art room looks a little differently this year. We will be spending the first week learning the procedures of our art room and completing a composition that tells me more about our students. To know exactly what book we are working with and what our project is you may look under the lesson plans tab (extra credit has not yet been posted due to school not officially starting yet). Since students are spending the first two days learning our Stingray WAYS, I will be spending the next two days with Mrs. Murray's class helping them learn their school wide expectations. I cannot wait to meet our new first graders! Hello, my name is Mrs. Schuette and I am beyond excited to get this school year rolling! This is my second year here at Shepherdsville Elementary. I have had a passion for the arts since a young age. I cannot wait to provide memorable experiences through the arts and pass on that same passion. This website holds all the information you may need about our arts and humanities program here at Shepherdsville Elementary. Our daily schedule is included, as well as class lesson plans so you may know exactly what your child is learning about in arts and humanities. Under the lesson plan link is the link to extra credit. Extra credit is offered each quarter and encouraged for all students. The extra credit will replace one grade for the student, usually the lowest grade. Extra credit is an enrichment opportunity for students and is related to the content we are focusing on in the classroom. If, for any reason, you wish to contact me, all of the contact information is under the contact link. My e-mail is listed, as well as the school telephone number. Please allow one business day to return phone calls or e-mails. The announcements tab is the link that will provide any up-to-date information about our Shepherdsville Elementary arts and humanities program. You will be able to find current information regarding our art gala and photos of our projects. I look forward to an exciting year as a stingray! See you in the art room! |
